Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actor. She has also directed films, including Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. As a child in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, she had lots of desires. Her parents were a loving mom who loved watching movies. Paula took part in the co-curricular programs at her school, and was a drama enthusiast. Her classmates and she played together as well as participated in school's productions. After performing in a variety of high school productions at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and deciding to make acting her profession. She attended The University of Southern California in an intensive summer course and loved her time there. She won the PBS three-month project to film documentaries. She started as a production assist for TV documentaries, after completing her project. When she was done with her work, she started producing documentary films. While she was awed by her work, she yearned for the role of an actress. Her first acting gig came with a small role in Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch. Since then, she has been in numerous films as well as TV series.
